Statement of Continuity

The International Confederation of the Ancient Free Gardeners of Scotland 1676 | 2024™ exists as a lawful revival and continuation of the historic Scottish Free Gardener tradition. Following the decline of Friendly Society lodges in the mid-20th century, the Order entered dormancy. This Confederation represents a modern restoration of that lineage in accordance with historical custom and fraternal constitution.

Treaty & Amity

At present, the only Order with which we maintain a verbal Treaty of Amity is the International Order of Free Gardeners in the United Kingdom. A formal signing will occur when travel becomes possible. In the meantime, members are permitted to visit and fellowship with one another, and all amity and courtesy has been extended and reciprocated.

This site does not publish member rosters, private communications, or internal records. Only public jurisdictional information is shown.

Jurisdictional Identity

Purpose of This Public Site

This website exists to establish public continuity and prevent confusion regarding the lawful identity of the Confederation. It is a jurisdictional identity statement and does not function as a membership portal, archive release, or internal record repository.

Protected marks, seals, and titles are displayed for identification and historical continuity. Unauthorized use may be subject to formal reporting.

Standard of Presentation

Our presentation is intentionally restrained: archival, constitutional, and dignified—reflecting an ancient society restored to ordered form. We preserve the historic character of the tradition without spectacle, and we maintain discretion regarding internal affairs.
